One of the world’s biggest festivals is coming to Australia in 2017

Creamfields — one of dance music’s biggest festival brands — has announced it’s coming to Australia.

The UK-bred festival will return to Melbourne sometime in 2017, with a line-up they promise will be full of “the biggest and the best” electronic artists. It’s not the festival’s first time on Australian shores — Creamfields ran around the country from 2010 to 2012, going on hiatus from 2013.

Since its inception in 1998, Creamfields has operated in 22 countries around the globe. Its flagship UK event currently operates as a four day camping festival, bringing an audience of 70,000 through the gates. Armin van Buuren, Diplo, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz and Seth Troxler are among the names on this year’s Creamfields UK 20th anniversary line-up.

2017 has seen a string of high-profile international festival announce their plans to set up shop in Australia: ID&T’s Sensation will hit Sydney in November, Ultra Music Festival will stage their first Australian event in early 2018 and Chinese-bred festival Storm says it will land in Sydney later in 2017, though they’ve yet to set a date. LA’s HARD touched down in Australia in 2016.

For now, that’s all the info we have on Creamfields’ Australian return — but promoters have promised we’ll know more “soon”.
