From Holy Ship to Mad Decent Boat Party and Asia’s It’s The Ship, dance music has no shortage of floating festivals. But until now, there’s never been one devoted to pushing “100 percent underground electronic” sounds – something the brand new MDRNTY Cruise is about to change.

This September, MDRNTY Cruise will set sail from Italy’s Port Genoa with a cast of dance music’s most revered names on board. Sven Väth, Ben Klock, Guy Gerber, DJ Tennis, Blond:ish, Martin Buttrich, tINI and Alex Niggemann are among the selectors locked in for sets at at the debut edition of the festival, with more names still TBA. All up, 50 artists will play across five dancefloors over four nights at sea.

Promoters are promising “24-hours nonstop cutting edge electronic music” as well as extra trimmings like art performances, sporting events, swimming pools, tennis courts, a bowling alley and a 4D cinema on top of the tunes.

MDRNTY Cruise sails from Port Genoa on September 16 and stops at Barcelona, Mallorca and Ibiza along the way.
