Beyoncé Becomes Most Decorated Artist in Grammys History

Beyoncé has broken the record for the most Grammy wins of all time, with 32, after earning four awards from the Recording Academy in the 2023 proceedings

Breaking the record last night, Beyoncé became the winner for highest number of Grammys making her the most awarded artist in Grammy history with her 32 wins after last night! Out of her four wins yesterday, two came from Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul” and Best Dance/Electronic Album for “Renaissance.”

While Beyoncé was stuck in LA traffic when she was awarded the first three wins she had last night, she did make it in time to collect her fourth and record-breaking award for Best Dance/Electronic Album announced by James Cordon. In her emotional acceptance speech she said as she fought back tears, “I’m trying to receive this night … I want to thank God for protecting me, thank you God. I’d like to thank my uncle Johnny, who’s not here, but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents, my father, my mother, for loving me and pushing me. My beautiful husband and beautiful three children. Thank you to the queer community for your love and for inventing this genre, thank you so much to the Grammys.”

Beyoncé beat out nominees like dance music mainstays David Guetta, Diplo, RÜFÜS DU SOL and more to snag these awards adding up to her historic moment. While the nominations drew a fair bit of criticism about how until now Beyoncé, who has dominated the R&B and Pop categories, her contributions to the dance and electronic music industry and community are minimal. But as always, there were a mixed bag of reactions on social media from artists and fans alike.
